If you’re getting ready to start growing Cannabis, you’re going to want to choose the best soil to ensure you’re harvest is rewarding. There are many brands of soil out there, however they are not all the same. While some may be good for fruits, vegetables or flowers, Cannabis has its own nutritional requirements.
What’s in it?
The Fox Farm company has created a unique blend of nutrients which is specially designed for growing Cannabis. After having used Ocean Forest in many of my grows, I have to say it’s certainly one of the best soils you can choose. It includes a mixture of earthworm castings, bat guano, and sea-going fish and crab meal. Additionally, the aged forest products, sandy loam and sphagnum peat moss give Ocean Forest its light, aerated texture.
You don’t even need to worry about maintaining the right pH, as the soil has been adjusted to 6.3 to 6.8, allowing for optimum nutrient update.
You can plant your Cannabis and not have to worry about adding any nutrients for at least one month. I actually don’t add any nutrients throughout the entire veg state, and then start adding nutrients once I transition over to flower. Following this method has awarded me big tasty yields, not to mention they taste quite good.
I actually use Ocean Forest for everything, including fruits, vegetables, etc. I’ve noticed a substantial difference in how quicker my plants grow and how healthier they look. While it’s great for growing marijuana, it’s also ideal for everything else (at least in my experience).
You can buy Ocean Forest at many hydroponic stores. While it can be purchased online, you’ll pay more because of shipping. If you have a hydro store nearby, check it out and see if they sell this soil.
